This was my first wedding at the Pittsburgh Botanic Garden and I won’t lie, I think about this wedding often for a couple reasons. For starters, it was maybe the hottest wedding of the year, in the middle of August. But that didn’t stop Deanna and Don from frolicking with me in the tall fields, or busting a move on the dance floor. This wedding was also completely DIY by the bride herself. All of the place settings at the tables, the candle holders, the cookie table display, you name it – she perfected it. I recall telling her halfway through the day that she’s hired to create a magical table scape for my wedding one day because it was literally that perfect. The Botanic Garden is the best in terms of backdrops because you get so many different vibes in one location. After the ceremony, the venue staff carts you to different locations such as the cute little pond that’s perfect as the sun is setting and then we went (what felt) deep into the woods before heading to this big open field for a more wide open backdrop where I made them run (sorry Don) and frolick. They also had their dogs there throughout the day which, if you know me pleaaaaseee bring your dogs always!!!
